INDIVIDUAL SOMATIC TRAUMA
RESOLUTION SOLUTIONS
“Trauma victims cannot recover until they become
familiar with and befriend the sensations in their bodies. ”

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE) IS, SIMPLY PUT, A BIO PHYSIOLOGICAL APPROACH TO HEALING TRAUMA
Our integrative approach combines the principles of Somatic Psychology such as Somatic Experiencing, NARM and Neuroaffective touch, as well as the expressive arts therapies and trauma-informed approaches to create a safer inner and outer world for families, individuals and non-for-profit organisations.

A somatic approach allows us to be more aware and settled in the felt sense of
our physical restrictions and emotional contractions.
Through moment-to-moment awareness of sensations in our body, SE aims to gently
re-establish the natural flow of your life energy, supporting the safe release of symptoms and
energy from the nervous system.

In SE sessions, we release and resolve the past experiences of trauma
and restore your body, heart and mind into a relaxed wholeness and aliveness.
EXPRESSIVE ARTS GROUP THERAPY SESSIONS
"Art is a way of knowing"

EXPRESSIVE ART THERAPY INVOLVES CREATION AND NON-VERBAL EXPRESSION,
POWERFUL TOOLS IN TRAUMA RECOVERY

Expressive art therapy is the use of different art mediums, e.g. drama, dance, music,
writing, creative journaling, painting and drawing as therapy. Alongside an art
therapist, clients choose a medium they feel can best express their emotions.

Art is inherently creative. A client doesn’t need to have the words or ability to express themselves
for it to help with their recovery. It is gentle and does not involve confrontation. For people that have experienced trauma, expressive art therapies are often ideal tools for healing and recovery.
Expressive art therapy can support clients to begin to imagine new possibilities for their futures.
Being able to imagine creative solutions and possibilities for their futures is vital in supporting them
to create a new narratives for themselves, freeing themselves from old trauma patterns and beliefs.
TRAUMA-INFORMED EDUCATION
“To feel the problems of our world is to know its suffering,
but this requires compassionate “response-ability.”

THOMAS HÜBL
We offer professional development and education in the expressive art therapies,
trauma-informed facilitation, trauma-informed yoga and Somatic Psychology and skills
for developmental and complex trauma, as well as for sexual abuse recovery.

We are passionate about creating a community of expressive art therapists and mental
health workers who are curious about extending their knowledge in art therapy, yoga,
mindfulness and trauma-informed practice.

We run workshops and trainings to bring together participants from allied health,
psychology, education and other helping professions. This interaction helps professionals
to increase their skill base in the therapeutic arts, recharge and engage their
own creative minds with bringing new perspectives and approaches to their work.
